Amarok 2.0 has finally been released! You can now get Amarok on KDE 4 without having to install KDE 3 libs taking up valuable space. And it'll look the part too Here's a list of the most important features in the new Amarok (from the official Amarok website)
Completely redesigned user interface
Tight integration with online services such as Magnatune, Jamendo, MP3tunes, Last.fm and Shoutcast
Completely overhauled scripting API and plugin support to allow better integration into Amarok
Migration from the KDE 3 to KDE 4 framework, and utilization of core technologies such as Solid, Phonon, and Plasma
I downloaded the RC a few days ago to see if it would like my rt61pci based wireless card. I worked great! And that hasn't changed Hopefully it will stay that way...
Since I'm liking Ubuntu 8.10, I'm going to say my most favourite new features.
Today Mandriva released a new version called "2009.0". This features the new kernel 2.6.27, KDE 4.1 or GNOME 2.24, OpenOffice.org 3.0 and Firefox 3.0. It also boasts better compatibility with netbooks such as the Asus EEE PC, the Acer Aspire One and the MSI Wind.
